Fill out our "Get A Quote" form. We'll contact you within two business days with your quote.
We'll send you our appointment information, and once signed we'll set up a time and place for your photo shoot. We'll also provide professional tips on how to stage your RV to showcase it in the best possible way.
It's your responsibility to make sure your RV is camera-ready. The RV should be washed before the photo shoot. Make sure you clean and declutter the interior and remove as much of your personal property as possible. The less of YOU and your belongings the buyer sees in the photos, the more likely they are to see themselves in the RV. This goes for the storage compartments, drawers, and cabinets as well. A good rule of thumb is: If it doesn't go with the RV when sold, it shouldn't be in the photographs.
One advantage you have in selling your RV is that you can choose the setting where it will be photographed. The ideal photo location is on level ground, with no distractions. We suggest shooting in a field or with a golf course in the background. Municipal parks are also an option. The idea is to make sure your RV is the only item in the picture other than nature itself.
The best time to photograph your RV is at midday. It's best when the sun is directly overhead, so the shadows are minimal, which makes the photos look better. Also, a cloudy day is a huge plus! Clouds diffuse the light and eliminate shadows, which is another way to make your RV look its best.
With commercial cameras and ultra-wide-angle lenses, we create the interior images of your RV. We also use a technique called 'high dynamic range' (HDR) which allows us to create extraordinary photographs while using the ambient light already in your RV. With that in mind, we will need to have all of the lights in the RV turned on. Make sure your house batteries are full, or have the RV plugged in to 'shore power'. Generators can cause vibration which results in fuzzy images, so we avoid generator power unless the generator is separate from the RV.
Taking the photographs is just the beginning. Each photo must be cropped, straightened, and color-corrected. Additionally, interior photos require a special blending process. Once we have completed the post-production tasks, we create two sets of images. The first are large JPEGs suitable for printing and are either 10" or 12" on the longer side of the photo. The second set is the same photos but are 6" on the long side of the photo, and are more suitable for online display, such as ads on websites. All images are high resolution, at least 300 dpi.
When your photos are ready we will send you a link to the files at Dropbox. You should download the photos to your local drive, as we only keep them on Dropbox for 90 days. It is your responsibility to archive and save the photos once they are made available to you. We also include a handy photo index in PDF format so you can select the photos you prefer for your advertising, or to send to a prospective purchaser.
